CHINESE RED FLAG NEAR AMERICAN WHITE HOUSE

It is the same America which left no stone unturned to stop the revolutionary army of Mao. Till date it is using a part of China-Taiwan as its military base and that is a bone of contention between Taiwan and the rest of China.
On 30th sept hundreds of Chinese students and businessmen collected in Washington, the capital of U.S.A. to celebrate 60th anniversary of China’s Independence. They furled the Chinese- American national flags side by side in a park near the south of White House. It is first time in history that a Chinese flag was furled in the urban area of America’s capital.
America has been accusing Mao and communist China of killing crores of people in different movements within that country. Incidents of 1989 at Tianmin Square are repeatedly cited as violation of human rights. Though it never mentions 13 lakh innocent Iraqis killed by its own soldiers.
In mid 1950 South Korea and America attacked North Korea and almost destroyed it. Had 50000 strong Chinese army not entered to fight for North Korea it was the end for that country. They defeated U.S. forces and freed North Korea from its clutches. The war killed 45000 U.S. valiant army men and marines. China lost 18000 army men. Even Mao’s own son ‘Mao Yan Ying’ was killed. Later on it is the same China with whose help Ho Chi Minh’s peasant army destroyed America’s war machine and forced it to flee from Vietnam. An uncalled for attack on Vietnam by U.S.A. resulted in the death of 30 lakh civilians and left a trail of numberless people wounded and esippted badly. U.S.A. lost about 45000 soldiers in Vietnam and more than 2 lakh were wounded. How can America forget this defeat at the hands of Vietnam-China alliance?
It is the same China that has been accused of inhuman activities. America and its ally countries organized Tibetan processions against China and no effort was spared to disturb Olympic games of 2008 to be held in China.
How come there is suddenly a change of heart ? Chinese red flag in front of White House has caused a lot of pain to many.
Infact U.S.A. is in one way indebted to China. Many countries purchase bonds of U.S. treasury and thus offer support to its economy. The share of China is the largest (1600 billon dollars) and it is still increasing. It must be kept in mind that total budget of India this year was 60 billion dollars. Both political parties of U.S.A. seem two different entities but they have identical policies. Both have helped to shift industry and job sector out of the U.S. and provide easy access to China inside the U.S.. Capitalism always has an eye on profit. It has no nation of its own! Poor Chinese labour works for peanuts in American factories established in China and manufacture a vast amount of items which American corporations sell in different parts of the world and earn huge profits. Every object sold in America has a tag: made in China/ Taiwan/ Thailand/ Korea/ Philippines/ Indonesia/ India/ Bangla Desh/ Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The lion’s share is from China because it is easier to control labour there as compared to other countries. No wonder American industrialist gives priority to Chinese labour and American corporate sector is growing richer and richer due to sweat and blood of Chinese labour. Entire American economy is shadowed by China. China with its surplus income buys bonds of American Treasury.
Hence, America-China relation is at the same time that of a friend and a foe. If someone sneezes in China, someone becomes feverish in America and Indian stock exchange gets the shivers.
China and America have an intimate relation in that both shed a lot of each other’s blood. There is constant tension. U.S.A. openly keeps planning ways and means to attack its principal enemy: China. Despite such disturbed circumstances, trade is carried out smoothly. An irritated journalist on seeing Chinese flag near White House on 30th sept 2009, remarked; “why doesn’t Obama get the Chinese flag fixed there permanently !”
The long drawn out, horrible and destructive figures of U.S.-China confrontation makes India-China war look exceedingly small. White paper on 1962 Indian-China war has been put on hold. There may be  something wrong somewhere, let’s leave it at that. It’s not such a big problem that cannot be solved. Today trade between India and China is more than that of India-U.S.A. and is growing fast. There is no apprehension of war along the thousands of miles long boundary line. Till date the boundary line has not been marked, hence minor incursions from both sides are expected. Every small incursion forms headlines of our print media whereas the government sources talk about it in a cool, natural manner.
The issue is that of red Chinese flag opposite White House on 30th Sept, 2009 where artists presented a show on friendship and open heartedness. On the 30th Sept, 2009 Empire States Building in New York was bathed in red light, something which can be seen very rarely on some special occasions.
What does the rest of the world learn from strange relations between China and America? Who can benefit from warfare at different places? Those who fight or those who make them fight ? Keep in mind nuclear weapons too ! We should all be more wary!!!
